Typewritter vs. Laptop

I just finished my first term paper and I’ll be handing it in this Friday.  I have to say writing school paper in 2013 feel very different then writing any essay back in 1996.  First almost every thing is online vs in a file folder of articles and books. Also I didn't have a computer back in 1996, just a typewriter and white out.

 If you have never used a typewriter, let me tell you it is a pain in the

 a$$; the moment you pull that page out you know  will  find an error and the paper will never line up again.  So it will never line up just right to fix it. Where a laptop is fun and easy and every thing always looks good with just a click of the mouse. My laptop will even work will my voice.

Papers

I am up to my eyeballs in term papers.  My first term paper is due this Friday ; it is a  7-9 pager, I am just about done.  I also have a one to two page critical question due this Wednesday and that just needs to be polished up and it is ready to handed.  Friday is my last day before reading week and I’m looking forward to catching up on reading, working, spending time with my Hun and sleeping. Talking about sleep I should head to bed.  

Feb Update

I am just about half way through my first term, and it is going well.  I have to say it is going so fast

Next Wednesday my mid-term critical question is due, and so the most part it is done, I just need to play with it a little and edit. It is worth 30% of my Polly Sci 112.  Then on the Feb. 15 in my other class (Polly Sci 111) my mid-term paper is due, and that I just need to write a thesis statement, a conclusion and to edit it.

The 15^th marks the start of start of my first reading week and I will be doing anything that could get me on a girls gone wild tape.

Times Have Changed

I've started to write my first term paper today! A lot has changed about finding sources.  When I was in high school  there was (paper) books and file folders with articles in them and you could only do your research during library hours. 

Now you can do research anytime( I did mine at 2:00 am last week)  I was able to all of my information offline, either websites or through the digital library at my university.   I only went to the library to have a quiet place to write.  How times have changed!

I am print type of gal, and I end up printing off articles to use and to keep the information for citing. I may have killed a tree or two. 

First Week of Classes

I am just about to end the first week of classes and I have to say I love university. I love the textbooks, the notes, the class and learning. I love it all!!!!

Day 2 of Classese

I’m loving one class and unsure of the other class.:} I am currently taking Polly sci 111 ( love it) and Polly Sci 112 ( ???). I am a little scared I have one mid term exam, midterm assignment and and 2 term papers and finals. Am I allowed to freak out in the second day of class about this?

T Minus 2 Hours

In less than 2 hours I’ll be at part 1 of my university orientation. I am a little nervous.  I woke up this morning and was like what the hell am I doing; I could work in retail till my retirement.

My classes will start on Friday. I feel like I’m already behind the 8 ball and I haven’t even started yet!!!!  Is this normal? Is it an old person feeling? Anyone with some words of wisdom?
